Hartford
Concerts for Charities brings
together school, university, and professional performing
organizations; local and corporate sponsors in partnership
with the Cathedral of St. Joseph; and The Hartt School
to produce exciting classical music concerts that,
in turn, become a source of support for many charities
that benefit people in need. The HCC Series pledges
to donate ALL proceeds at EVERY concert to a designated
charity. The concept is a simple one—all musical
and publicity costs of the concerts will be donated
by corporate and individual sponsors, so that when
a concertgoer makes a donation at the door, they will
know that 100% of their contribution is helping to
benefit those in need. Corporate and individual sponsors
can know that they are not only enriching the cultural
life of the Hartford area by supporting the arts,
but are also helping to support local charities.
